Remem is useful when a memory matters partly because of where it
happened. These examples show how voice or typed pins, photos,
categories, the map and exports can support everyday recall on an
Android phone.

Everyday recall
Remember where the detail belongs
Where you parked
Save a quick pin with a level, row, landmark or photograph. The
words help when a GPS point alone is not enough in a multi-storey
car park.
Location readings can be inaccurate, especially indoors. Keep
tickets and follow car-park rules separately.
A place worth returning to
Pin a viewpoint, café, shop, garden or quiet stopping place and
add the detail that made it memorable. Find it later by map,
list, search or category.
Check current opening times, access and availability with the
place itself before travelling.
Travel and day-trip moments
Capture the story while it is fresh, with the location attached
as context. Core local capture remains useful without a Remem
account.
A local pin is not a travel booking, route instruction or live
visitor-information service.
Visits and observations
Keep a place and its note together
Property or site visits
Record an observation at the location, add a photo for visual
context and use a category to separate follow-up items from
general notes.
Remem is not a certified inspection, asset-management or legal
evidence system. Follow the formal process required for the job.
Work visits and handovers
Save a concise reminder of what needs attention at a place, then
use the list or search when preparing a follow-up.
Do not record confidential, personal or employer-controlled
information unless you are authorised to store it on the phone.
Field observations
Pin a non-critical observation during a walk, survey or hobby
activity. GPX can later provide unarchived located pins to a
compatible mapping tool.
Remem is not an emergency, navigation or safety-tracking system.
Use appropriate specialist tools for those needs.
A repeatable pattern
Capture enough context for your future self
1. Capture
Say or type the useful detail
Include the detail that will distinguish this memory from other
pins at or near the same place.
2. Organise
Add recognisable context
Use a category or photo when it will make the pin easier to
recognise later.
3. Return
Use the map, list or search
Choose the view that matches what you remember: the place, the
words, the category or roughly when it happened.
Use information elsewhere
Export after the memory is useful
Use CSV for a spreadsheet-friendly copy of unarchived pin data.
Use GPX for unarchived pins with locations in compatible mapping
tools.
Do not rely on Remem as an emergency service, live family tracker,
turn-by-turn navigation system, certified inspection record,
regulated case-management platform or current cloud backup. Use a
purpose-built and properly approved service where safety, legal
duties or guaranteed recovery depend on it.
