Product guide

Remem features

Remem is a local-first Android mobile app that turns voice or typed memories into place-based pins. You can capture and find your pins without creating an account, then export unarchived pins when you need to use them elsewhere.

Capture

Save the memory while you are there

Voice or typed capture

Capture the words that matter by speaking or typing. Remem saves the resulting pin locally on your Android device.

Place-based pins

Add location context so a memory can be found by where it happened, not only by what it was called.

Photos and categories

Add a photo for visual context and use categories to keep different kinds of memory easier to distinguish.

Find

Return to what you saved

Map

See pins by place

Use the map when location is the clearest way to recognise a memory.

List

Scan memories as a list

Use the list when text, category or saved date is more useful than geography.

Search

Narrow down the results

Search and organise locally so you can get back to the relevant pin without relying on a cloud account.

Take your pins elsewhere

Choose the export that fits the job

CSV means comma-separated values. It is a spreadsheet-friendly file containing unarchived pins, coordinates, captured or typed text, category and saved date.

GPX means GPS Exchange Format. It is a mapping format for unarchived pins that have locations.

Compare CSV and GPX

Important export limits

  • Archived pins are not included
  • Photos and recordings are not included
  • CSV omits the separate Notes field
  • Exports are not a restorable backup
